2009 - May it bring blessings to all of you.
Thank you for following along since May. I hope to continue the blog into the new year and bring many new pictures to life here on the blog. As for our travels only God knows where we will go in 2009. My current contract ends on Feb. 13. I have been asked if I would like to extend again and I have agreed. I am not sure if the hospital will allocate the money to actually extend my contract with all the cutbacks and layoffs in the area at different hospitals. There have not been any layoffs at the hospital where I am now.

I have not posted in several days. I have not had the best access to the internet. Rest assured, I will be back to posting on a more regular basis after the holidays.
I hope that all have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or Happy Kwanza whatever holiday that you celebrate at this time of the year and a great 2009.
Now, to elaborate a little about everyone feeling afraid to say "Merry Christmas" and feeling like they have to say Happy Holiday. There is nothing wrong with saying "Happy Holiday" and I say that alot myself. It is not because I am afraid of offending someone. I celebrate Christmas because it is the birth of Jesus Christ who is the son of God and the Savior that was sent into this world to live as a human being knowing the sin of this world but remaining sinless and ultimately paying the price of death on the cross. Thus, paving the way for all to have a hope for a home in heaven for eternity.

Best Pizza
About this time of the year five years ago I made my first trip to NYC. I was working in Albany on an assignment and my nephew Ashley came from KY. for a visit. We decided to go to the "City" as the people in Albany referred to it. Ashley had done some research on pizza places and found Lombardi's. It was establised in 1905 and the original coal fired pizza oven is still being used.
If you ever make it to NYC, stop by Lombardi's on Spring St. and have one of their pizzas. It is the best!
I wish they delivered.

The Old State House, Boston
State and Washington Streets
On July 18, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed from the balcony of this building to a jubilant crowd.
In 1761, a full fifteen years before the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed, James Otis delivered a rousing speech against the Writs of Assistance here in this building. The Writs of Assistance refer to the King's ability to issue search warrants without providing any reason.
Otis argued that, "A man's house is his castle" and that, "Every one with this writ may be a tyrant." After watching James Otis deliver his speech, John Adams, who would later become the second president of the United States, declared, "... then and there the child Independence was born."
