Sunset over the home place


This is a honeysuckle bloom at night. Just
testing my night photo skills.


My aunt Judy and uncle Mitchell live at the
lower end of our farm. They both help my Mom
with things on the farm.


This is one of the fields on our farm. This picture
was taken at dusk. Look very closely at the small
tree on the left one third. Do you see anything around
the base of the tree?

Low Flying Plane

This homemade "airplane" was "flying" low
over one of my cousins country store at
Stephens, Kentucky. I didn't have time to stop
and get the story, but if I know Donnie it is a
good story.

Our butterfly bush has grown so much this year


and it living up to it's name, as you see here.






Not only do the butterflies like the bush, but


this winged insect which is yet to be determined


likes the butterfly's bush.

Gina has grown a great flowerbed this year for


the insects and birds to share.

Sunset from our back porch

Tonight was not humid so Gina and I sat out on the back deck along with Lillie, Buddy and Cheetoh. The sunset was nice as it is a lot of nights.

Sites from Southern Wyoming

We drove across Wyoming on Interstate 80 from West to East. The welcome center on I-80 in western Wyoming had this covered wagon on display in front of the welcome center. The sky was so beautiful. The blue was so pure and the white clouds were so fluffy they looked like cotton. I am sure you have heard the song lyrics, "Where the deer and antelope play", we saw deer, antelope and elk. The deer and antelope were playing and grazing and the elk were just grazing. The geography of Wyoming was diverse, from land where hardly anything was green or growing to prairie fields. There were huge windmills in the middle to eastern part of Wyoming. It is such a cool thing to see these huge windmills out in the middle of no where. The picture that has what looks like wooden pallats on their sides is actually snow breaks. They place these along the interstate and railroads to keep the snow drifts from piling up on the roads.

Got Nuts???

This "Nutcracker" was at the entrance to a gas
station in Syracuse, Nebraska.
This is one thing you wouldn't think you would
see in Nebraska, just like yesterday's post.
When I think of Nebraska I think of corn fields.
Well, there were corn fields, soybean fields, but
these were mostly in the eastern part of Ne.
In the western part it was more prairie like.
Nebraska was not as boring to drive through as I
thought it would be. Actually, the south eastern
part where today and yesterday's post were taken
was actually very pretty. It was more rural and
seemed serene.

Nebraska or Scotland???

As we were driving through Nebraska we saw
this creature in a pond. We turned around and
went back to check it out. For a moment we thought
we were seeing the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland.
But, upon closer examination it turned out to be a
joke. This was so cool to see!!!
