Bennington Battle Monument

The monument is 306 ft. tall. The observation
area is 200 feet in the air as can be seen from
the slits in the stone. The monument commemorates
the Revolutionary War's battle at Bennington.
Although the battle is termed the battle of Bennington it
actually occurred 10 miles away in New York state.
This monument is the tallest in the state of Vt.
Besides Vt., NY and Mass. can be seen from the
observation deck.
