Weekend update
There will be no posts this weekend. We are heading north in search of the most brilliant and vibrant color a tree can give. Hopefully, come Monday you will see the foliage of the North Woods of Maine. Have a great weekend.
USS Duxbury Bay (AVP-38)
Gina went to Duxbury Beach the other day and saw the above taking place. A memorial service called, "The laying of the wreath" was taking place as the pictures above show.
USS Duxbury Bay (AVP-38) was a Barnegat class small seaplane tender in the United States Navy, named for a bay on the coast of Massachusetts. She was launched 2 October 1944 by Lake Washington Shipyard, Houghton, Washington; sponsored by Mrs. R. E. Torkelson; and commissioned 31 December 1944, Commander F. N. House in command. She was named for a bay on the coast of Massachusetts.
