This rose was not found in Carlin, NV. There is nothing
that has this much color in Carlin. Carlin is in the
middle of the desert. It is pretty much all brown
with the only green plants and trees at the edge
of the creek or river. Actually, this rose is planted
at waters edge behind the Extended Stay in Alameda.
We left Alameda at 9am and drove until 5:30 pm today.
The further east we have driven the hotter it has gotten.
It was in the upper 60's when we left Alameda and at times
the temperature was 97 degrees. At least we have not
encountered the humidity yet. Tomorrow will be an even
longer day of driving with about 9 hrs.
